Jackie Hopfinger

Jackie Hopfinger is a London based photographer who, as an amateur, had a love of taking photographs for over 30 years. She had a successful career in local government and once this finished she began to study photography as a new career. She is most interested in photo documentaries, still life and travel photography. Her inspirations come from trying to use photography to tell a story or to capture a moment, a feeling or a mood.

Without the past the future is formless – a photo documentary

You get to a certain age and you start to look back as much as you look forward; you wonder what happened to all those wild friends you used to know.

In the mid 70’s we were students, we took drugs, we squatted, we partied.

By the mid 80’s some semblance of real life began to hit. Relationships, employment, children, housing all loomed on the horizon.

How have we all changed? What are our lives like now? Do we have regrets?

I thought it was about time to find out.
